Brighton & Hove Albion are in the picture to sign Rayo Vallecano’s Andrei Rațiu, according to Tuesday’s edition of AS.
The right-back’s game time was limited last season as he was restricted to just over 1000 minutes from 16 games.
That hasn’t stopped him from representing Romania at the Euros, where Rațiu played the full 90 minutes against Ukraine and Belgium. He has ended up on the agenda of Brighton and Genoa for the summer window.
The 26-year-old is known for his pace and was the second fastest La Liga player last season, behind Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior.
Fichajes have a report on the Romania international and their title says ‘two clubs bid’ to take Rațiu away from Rayo Vallecano.
Within the report, it’s claimed Brighton and Genoa ‘intend to welcome’ Rațiu this summer. They add these two clubs have made contacts, without specifying whether it’s with Rayo Vallecano, the player’s camp or both.
