For the past few weeks, we’ve seen several stories about Benfica star Darwin Nunez. Both because of his form for the Lisbon side as for the many clubs who’ve been linked to him.
Brighton & Hove Albion were one of the sides who tried to sign him in the summer, and the situation recently had a big change, with even the Manchester clubs now being named as potential contenders for his transfer.
However, the Seagulls are again being taken seriously in this race, as we can read in a story from Fichajes.
The outlet brings a piece listing three potential destinations for Nunez. Those are Brighton, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.
The report recalls that the Seagulls were one of the ‘most interested’ clubs last summer, and even though they didn’t manage to sign him, they will return for his transfer in 2022.
Darwin Nunez has six goals in 10 appearances for Benfica this season, and received attention from around Europe when scoring a brace against Barcelona in the Champions League.
He’s protected by the Eagles with a release clause worth €100m.
