Earlier today, Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger reported Eintracht Frankfurt are working to make a ‘surprise’ move to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Mahmoud Dahoud.

He also stated the Bundesliga side have opened talks with the Seagulls and that the 28-year-old wants to join them on deadline day.

Patrick Berger has come up with another update that the midfielder’s spell at Brighton is about to end.

The former Borussia Dortmund man is now set to return to the Bundesliga. Berger claims Eintracht Frankfurt have found a ‘total agreement’ with the Premier League side to buy the German.

According to the journalist, Dahoud will ‘soon fly’ to Frankfurt to undergo medical tests and sign the contract with the German club.

There’s no mention of the fee offered by Eintracht Frankfurt to Fabian Hürzeler’s side. The player joined Brighton on a free transfer in 2023 and they will make a profit from his sale.

Dahoud clocked in less than 700 minutes from 14 games for Brighton in the first half of last season and was sent out on loan at VfB Stuttgart in the second half.
