On October 22nd, we covered claims from Germany which stated multiple factors make Brighton & Hove Albion’s Jakub Moder an interesting option for VfB Stuttgart.
The Bundesliga side’s interest in the Poland international is now backed by Meczyki.pl.
The Brighton player spent a long spell on the sidelines before regaining fitness in October 2023. He didn’t enjoy regular game time last season, and the situation hasn’t improved under Fabian Hürzeler.
Moder has been restricted to four minutes of action from two league games for Brighton this season. He made two more appearances in the EFL Cup.
The Poland international has clocked in more minutes with the national team than his club this season. The outlet says this can’t continue as the midfielder needs to start having regular game time.
Meczyki.pl warn the 25-year-old that he needs to change his situation as soon as possible and indicate a transfer could be on the cards in January. Stuttgart could present him an opportunity.
The Brighton man is a ‘serious candidate’ for the German club, who defeated Juventus in the Champions League last month. It’s further claimed they are ‘pushing hard’ to sign him.
Moder’s contract lasts until 2025, and the January window will be Brighton’s last chance to cash in from his sale. It’s not made clear whether Stuttgart are pushing to sign him in the winter market or next summer.
