It’s been reported in the Turkish media that Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu will not be involved during this international break.
The left back wasn’t involved in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City due to injury.
Fanatik say the Turkish FA have confirmed the Brighton player will not be involved in the forthcoming game against Wales due to injury. Kadıoğlu has reportedly picked up a toe injury and will also be ruled out of Turkey’s UEFA Nations League clash against Montenegro next Tuesday.
According to Fanatik, Kasımpaşa S.K. left back Yasin Özcan has been drafted into to replace the Brighton defender.
This will come as blow to both club and country following the form Kadıoğlu has shown in the past few months.
The 25-year-old was one of Turkey’s star players at Euro 2024 in Germany and his performances in the tournament earned him a move to England.
Kadıoğlu has shown glimpses of that form since signing for Brighton and has already scored two goals for his new club.
