Brighton & Hove Albion have just made a signing from Eintracht Frankfurt, the German media says.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that the Seagulls are bringing Dr. Florian Pfab from the Bundesliga side.
The 48-year-old is the head of Eintracht Frankfurt’s medical department, with the report calling him one of the ‘most prestigious sports doctors in Germany’. He’s said to be responsible for his club being one of those with the fewest muscle injuries in the Bundesliga for the past few years.
Plettenberg claims that Pfab will have ‘full medical responsibility’ at Brighton, who are actually paying a €250k transfer fee to get him to England. He’s set to start working there in July.
The doctor first worked at Bayern Munich between 2004 and 2009. He became the head of the medical department at FC Ingolstadt in 2010, moving to Frankfurt in 2019.
His stay at Eintracht was supposed to last until the summer of 2025, and that’s why Brighton are now having to spend a little to add him to Roberto De Zerbi’s staff.
