Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City and Barcelona were among the clubs to have a scout present on Saturday at the Estádio do Dragão to watch the derby between FC Porto and Boavista.

Porto are currently leading the Portuguese league table, but both Benfica and Sporting have a game in hand on them.

Brighton and Manchester City will be looking at potential recruits for the next couple of windows, and the two Premier League clubs were joined by officials from Barcelona, Anderlecht and Utrecht.

At this point there’s no indication on who the Brighton and Manchester City officials were watching, although targets are likelier to be from Porto than Boavista.

O Jogo picked out 17-year-old attacker Rodrigo Mora as the best performer on the pitch, with his Porto teammates Nico Gonzalez and Samu Omorodion Aghehowa also picked out for praise.

Both the English clubs mentioned send scouts to Portugal often so it’s not a shock to see them there, and it will be interesting to see if they continue to focus on Porto… or maybe even Boavista.
