Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Davy Propper is ‘seriously in the picture’ at PSV Eindhoven as they eye a summer move.
That’s according to Eindhoven Dagblad, who say the Dutchman has had an ‘unhappy season’ and could be on the move in the next transfer window.
They explain that after sitting on the bench for the last few weeks, Propper’s future could be away from Brighton and PSV are willing to offer him an escape route.
They would have to pay about €10m to get him as he’s locked into a deal until 2023 but would want to ‘negotiate firmly’ to bring that price down.
They believe that Propper can be the ‘football-playing reinforcement’ that their midfield needs and that he has ‘a lot to offer’ Roger Schmidt’s side.
Of course, Propper is no stranger to PSV, having spent two successful years there before his 2017 move to Brighton, so they know what they’re getting and how to use him.
Whether the Seagulls are open to a sale isn’t mentioned but given Propper has just seven appearances to his name in the Premier League this season, it seems hard to imagine them resisting too hard.
