The arrival of Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton & Hove Albion has changed the club’s transfer market targets quite a bit.

We’ve seen more Italians being linked with the club than when Graham Potter was in charge, but it’s worth remembering the manager was also in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk for a bit.

Among those he managed was Tetê, who is currently on loan at Lyon from the Ukrainian club, and who is wanted by Leicester City and West Ham United.

It’s clear that both the Hammers and the Foxes want to bolster their attacking lines in January if they can, while Brighton have been also looking around, wanting to give De Zerbi more options to mould the squad to his liking.

Calciomercato.it have some information on the Brazilian’s situation in France, which has gone downhill since the arrival of Laurent Blanc, which is why a change of scenery in January isn’t out of the question.

This all comes because Milan have taken an interest, and the winger is ‘willing to consider new solutions already during the winter transfer market’.

Since he is under contract with Shakhtar until December 2023, the next transfer window is realistically the last chance for them to make any decent money from him, as he will be able to talk to clubs about free transfers from June onwards.

That’s when Calciomercato.it explain that he has ‘finished in the notebook’ of both Leicester and West Ham ‘in recent months’, before adding that Tetê is ‘also liked by his former manager’, who is Roberto De Zerbi.

Therefore, the Hammers, the Foxes and Brighton could go head to head with each other for the Brazilian in the coming months.
