Stefano Denswil is probably smiling from ear to ear right now, after Brighton & Hove Albion came in to hand him a Premier League dream.
The Club Brugge central defender will have been more used to his teammate Bjorn Engels getting the English transfer links, with Engels linked window after window, often for no good reason.
Engels is now off to Olympiacos, after his Brugge exit, and Denswil is in England.
With Denswil being Dutch, the Brighton move is big news in the Netherlands. De Telegraaf cover it and say the odds are in favour of the move going through.
Brighton are working on getting a buying option into the contract so it’s not a straight loan.
If the club can fix a price now then it’s likely they’d get Denswil cheaper than if he impress in the Premier League and then has no such clause.
The player’s agent also needs to discuss personal terms with Brighton but it’s not thought that will be a problem.
