Bayern Munich have been in touch with Brighton and Hove Albion star Tariq Lamptey’s agent about a potential move.
That’s according to Sport1, who say that the Seagulls want as much as €25m for their rising star.
Lamptey has become hot property at Brighton since arriving in a £2.97m deal from Chelsea in January and has played a starring role at the beginning of this season, with three assists in three Premier League games so far.
That has already earned him rave reviews from fans and pundits alike, and it seems there is now interest from a top club in Europe.
Sport1 say that Bayern Munich have identified the youngster as a possible target as they look to sign a right-back this summer.
They’re keen on Sergiño Dest, and the player wants the move, but Ajax have opted to sell to Barcelona as they are offering more money.
Thus, Bayern need to find an alternative and have ‘already been in contact’ with the player’s management about a move.
They are willing to pay €15m to make a move happen, but it’s stated that Brighton are ‘reluctant’ to let him go and are instead looking for €25m.
Whether Bayern would go that high isn’t clear, but it seems the interest is there and, if Dest does end up at Barça, Brighton have a fight on their hands to keep their hottest property.
