Brighton & Hove Albion have seen a €2.5m offer to midfielder Florian Grillitsch rejected by the player.
That’s according to Fanatik journalist Yakup Çınar, who reports on the offer today amid Turkish interest in the midfielder.
Grillitsch is available on a free transfer this summer after his contract with Hoffenheim, with who he had been with 2017, came to an end.
He’s been linked with clubs all over Europe but is yet to make a decision about his future, despite having once been highly sought-after.
Reports in England yesterday stated that an unnamed Premier League club had made a bid for his services, and it appears that might have been Brighton.
Çınar reports that they made an offer of €2.5m a year to the player, which works out at around €52,000 per week. That’s £44,000 at the current exchange rate for those who are interested.
This was an offer that Grillitsch ‘did not accept’, although the reason isn’t made clear. In terms of competition, Beşiktaş are not interested, and Trabzonspor have made an offer.
However, the player has rejected a move to the latter as he received a ‘negative reference’ from a player currently at the club.
That means Brighton still have a chance to secure the Austrian if they remain interested, although they need to either up their bid or work on convincing the player about the move.
Brighton Grillitsch için 2.5 milyon Euro’luk teklif yaptı. Ancak oyuncu kabul etmedi. Ayrıca Beşiktaş ilgilenmiyor, Tranzonspor teklif yapmıştı. Oyuncu Trabzon’a gitmek istemiyor. Trabzon’da bir oyuncu olumsuz referans vermiş…
