Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League, Brighton & Hove Albion could do with a few more goals if they want to avoid the risk of slipping in the relegation zone.

Scoring 25 in 22 games, Graham Potter’s side have a good goalscorer in Neal Maupay, but perhaps lack a bit of creativity behind him, which is what they could be looking to address with their interest in Brescia’s Leonardo Morosini.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb in Italy, Brighton are one of the sides interested in the 24-year-old in January, joining Ascoli in their pursuit of the attacking midfielder.

Playing just 23 minutes of football this season under Eugenio Corini, Morosini needs to go elsewhere if he is to avoid his career stagnating, and it seems the Premier League side could be ready to offer him that chance.

Brighton are reported to have made an enquiry about the playmaker, and ‘desire’ him at the AMEX Stadium.

However, any deal for Morosini would need to be a short one, as TuttoMercatoWeb claim Brescia would only want to loan him out for six months before bringing him back.

As for Ascoli in all this, their preference would be to buy him outright, which the Serie A side don’t appear to be keen on.

If Brighton are ready to just have Morosini until June, then perhaps they have a chance.
