Belgian outlet Voetbal24 details the hard task that Club Brugge have ahead of them to bring José Izquierdo back to the club.
Despite their strong interest in the signing, the report claims that Brighton & Hove Albion are demanding too much for the winger’s move.
The Seagulls are said to be asking for at least €10m, and the transfer is considered to be too risky to be worth all that money.
Izquierdo had a knee injury which took him out of the entire of last season, and things haven’t changed in the current one so far, as he’s still to be given a single minute to play for Brighton again.
The winger’s last appearance was made in April 2019, nearly two years ago, so it’s obvious that clubs will have some doubts before making a serious bid.
Voetbal24 points out that Izquierdo has also been linked to the likes of Anderlecht, Antwerp, Genk and Gent. But since Brighton only want him gone if sold, then all these clubs, along with Brugge, must make convincing offers to take the 28-year-old.
