Despite making it very clear he had no interest in moving anywhere until the end of the season when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain comes to an end, Hatem Ben Arfa is still getting enquiries from the Premier League to change his mind.

Following the drawn out saga (if you want to call it that) sending him to Leicester City for a reunion with Claude Puel, Brighton & Hove Albion are the latest to be linked to the former France international.

The information comes from the now famous Twitter account Paris United, now seen by many in France as a reference when it comes to news surrounding the Ligue 1 leaders.

Brighton allegedly tried to enlist Ben Arfa in order to help Chris Hughton’s side for the second half of the season, to no avail.

The player’s determination to cash in his hefty paycheque without playing (unless a Champions League club comes along, which is highly unlikely to happen) means Brighton will have to look elsewhere for a new goalscorer/creative midfielder.

Nice, Bordeaux, Nantes, Antalyaspor and Besiktas are all said to have also given it a go, only to be met with the same answer.
