Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham United have ‘made inquiries’ for ASFA d’Abobo youngster Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Diarrassouba is attracting interest in Europe and both Brighton and West Ham are in the mix.
They explain that the 16-year-old, who has been a ‘revelation’ for the Cote d’Ivoire’s U17 team, has earned him attention from across Europe.
Benfica are particularly advanced and the Portuguese club’s management have reportedly begun concrete negotiations with the Ivorian club about him. They are attracted to his ‘technical and physical qualities’.
Brighton and West Ham have also made inquiries. Their scouts saw the player at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and believe he is promising. No formal offer has been made as yet, though.
There is also interest from Toulouse in France, although they consider his release clause a hindrance. Africa Foot say report that a source close to ASDA Abodo has reported this clause to be valued at €1m, which they intend to use to finance a sports infrastructure project.
It would not be an issue for either Brighton or West Ham, whose scouts have identified the youngster as one to keep an eye on.
