On July 8th, we carried a report from AS, who explained that West Ham United are handed a second chance to sign Martin Braithwaite.

The Hammers are not the only English club looking at the Barcelona forward, however, and they are now joined by Brighton & Hove Albion and Norwich City, according to Sport.

Ronald Koeman’s side have added Sergio Agüero and Memphis Depay to their squad and the duo’s summer arrival will force the 30-year-old drop down the pecking order.

Braithwaite ‘knows perfectly well’ the Catalan club have placed him at the Camp Nou’s exit door due to both the arrival of the aforementioned two and Barca’s ‘delicate economic situation’.

The Denmark international did well for his country at the European championship, where they failed to overcome England in the semi-final.

His performance in Euro 2020 has seen the likes of David Moyes’ side, the Seagulls and the Canaries believe the former Middlesbrough man can be a ‘good market opportunity’ this summer.

That’s all Sport has to say about West Ham’s, Brighton’s and Norwich’s interest in Braithwaite, but it shows he is a wanted man and that a few good games at international level can turn things around for a rather questionable signing from Barcelona’s end to begin with.
