Liverpool are only 25% likely to sign striker Stefanos Tzimas in the summer transfer window, with a similar percentage given to Brighton and Hove Albion.
That’s according to BILD, who report that both sides are outside runners for the striker at this moment in time.
They explain that the likelihood of Tzimas being sold in the summer is growing. He’s earned plenty of admirers around Europe with his performances in the 2. Bundesliga this season.
The newspaper says as many as 18 clubs are interested in him. They say Liverpool and Brighton are among them.
The current idea is that Nuremberg pay €18m to sign the 19-year-old permanently before then selling him on for a profit. The current asking price is around €25m but could be more.
A rumour around Liverpool was ‘extremely heated’ at the beginning of the week. However, BILD say that ‘quickly cooled down again’. The striker is not entirely off the table at Anfield but they’re not currently pushing.
The same can be said of Brighton. Fabian Hürzeler has Tzimas in his sights but there is no push to get him yet. Both are given a 25% of signing the player in the summer.
Of course, there’s plenty of time for that to change in the coming months. Indeed, if Tzimas continues to impress, both Liverpool and Brighton may step up their interest.
For now, they’re just outsiders in the developing race, with Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle all ahead of them as far as BILD are concerned.
