Brentford are ‘serious’ about Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić for this summer.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who explain the Serie A side are willing to let the 25-year-old leave on a permanent transfer.

In the last few days, Fiorentina have come forward and asked for information about the Serbia international.

Fiorentina are looking to take the keeper a loan deal with the right of redemption, but this formula does not please Torino.

Therefore, the report adds, the Premier League is the ‘preferred choice’ for Milinković-Savić. This is where the Bees come into the picture.

With Brentford serious about the goalkeeper, TMW explain ‘an offer is coming’ from Thomas Frank’s side.

Milinković-Savić has two years left on his deal and the website doesn’t mention what sort of fee the English club are planning to make or the offer Torino are expecting to sanction his sale.

Brentford have already confirmed Álvaro Fernández and Jonas Lössl will leave the club when their loan deals expire.

The duo’s exit will leave space in the squad for a new keeper, who will have to provide cover and competition to David Raya next season. It remains to be seen whether that will be Milinković-Savić or another player.
