Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken can imagine a move to Bayer Leverkusen, particularly after the appointment of Erik ten Hag.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who say the Dutch goalkeeper can imagine moving to the Bundesliga club this summer.
They report that Flekken remains one of the Leverkusen’s top goalkeeper targets, with recent talks having been positive. The transfer will depend on how quickly Brentford can find a replacement.
According to their information, Flekken is ready to join Leverkusen, particularly after the appointment of Ten Hag. He was brought in as the club’s new manager after Xabi Alonso joined Real Madrid.
Other English teams are also interested in the goalkeeper and Leverkusen seemingly won’t get into a battle with them. They have ‘clear price expectations’ for a transfer. What those are, aren’t made clear at this point.
It’s a transfer to be worked out in the coming weeks, but the fact that Flekken is interested in the move could be seen as a major boost to their efforts to get the goalkeeper out of Brentford this summer. That, though, depends on the Bees potentially finding a replacement.
