Brentford have been keeping tabs on SC Freiburg’s Kevin Schade to bolster their squad this season.
It’s been over a month since the Bundesliga side rejected a €15m bid made by the Bees.
On July 14th, the forward insisted he has left any talk of a summer move to Brentford in the hands of his agent.
The Premier League side haven’t forgotten about the 20-year-old if a report from Sky Deutschland is to be believed.
Having seen their first offer turn down by Freiburg, Brentford are ‘planning a new offer’ for the Germany U21 international. It’s claimed Thomas Frank’s side want to ‘improve it to over €20m’.
The attacker signed a new contract at the club last November and his current deal expires in 2026. He last featured for Freiburg in March and has been on the sidelines since then due to an abdominal muscle injury.
Sky claim Schade is ‘still in rehab’, recovering from injury. Freiburg, for their part, are not in favour of letting the player move elsewhere before the window closes.
