Brentford FC striker Halil Dervisoglu would like to move to Spain this summer when he returns to the club from a loan spell with Galatasaray.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say clubs such as Celta Vigo and Real Betis have been ‘following him closely’ for some time.
The outlet explains that Dervisoglu, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray until the end of the season, is unlikely to stay in Turkey when that loan deal comes to an end.
That’s because the Super Lig club have no intention of paying the €6m purchase clause included in his current loan deal as they ‘consider it too high’.
He has options to do so, too, with Betis and Celta both having followed him for some time.
Indeed, his agents are already working to secure a permanent exit from Brentford and have seemingly started tentative enquiries to make it happen.
Betis and Valencia have already ‘received the offer’ from the striker, with the latter brought into the picture as they want to make a ‘deep renovation’ of their striker options and replace Maxi Gomez.
Dervisoglu is currently valued at €3m, but the current plan is for him to arrive on loan, and talks have already begun on that front.
Whether Brentford will sanction another loan deal remains to be seen, and there has been no official response from any of the Spanish sides as yet, but there is plenty of time for that to change with his agents working on securing their client his next move.
