Brentford want to sign VfL Wolfsburg’s Omar Marmoush in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland, who state the Bees have sent a ‘concrete offer’ to the Bundesliga side for the 23-year-old.
The forward spent the last 18 months out on loan at FC St. Pauli and VfB Stuttgart, where he managed to impress.
Operating across all three positions up front at Stuttgart, he managed three goals and five assist from 20 league matches last season. These two German sides had to send the Egypt international back to his parent club with a heavy heart.
Sky now state the attacker wants regular minutes and is ‘considering offers’. The report adds his chances to feature regularly at Wolfsburg have not improved.
This doesn’t satisfy Marmoush who is on the list of other clubs and has received offers from elsewhere. It’s claimed the ‘hottest offer’ has come from the Premier League and specifically from Brentford.
With a year left on his deal, the player has a ‘fundamental decision’ to make on his future.
Wolfsburg, for their part, have ‘so far blocked’ Marmoush’s exit. Should they not change their stance soon, then they could risk losing him for nothing when his contract expires in 2023.
