Brentford are among the clubs in the picture to sign PAOK FC’s Giannis Konstantelias this summer, according to a report from Greece.
The 22-year-old is a product of the Greek club’s youth system and was promoted to their first team in 2021. He played 146 games, managing 27 goals and 16 assists of which 10 goals and an assist are from this season.
Sportime.gr mention Brentford when covering VfB Stuttgart’s interest in the attacking midfielder.
Recent claims from Germany have stated the Bundesliga club are looking at Konstantelias. Sportime.gr back that up and then report there’s a lot of interest from other European clubs.
As well as Stuttgart, Brentford, Benfica and FC Porto are all in the running to secure the player’s services.
The report states these clubs expressed interest in the Greece international and asked about signing him. He has a contract until 2027 but could leave PAOK in this window.
According to the Greek outlet, there will be developments ‘more quickly than expected’. They are unclear whether that will be with Stuttgart, Brentford or another club.
There’s no mention of PAOK’s request, while Transfermarkt values Konstantelias at €17m.
