Brentford, AFC Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are all in the picture to sign Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno in the summer.
Operating in the Serie A side’s defence, he’s managed a goal and an assist from 30 games this season. His form has helped him to end up in the sights of the three English clubs.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Toro News, who state Brentford, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest all ‘like’ the 23-year-old and are ‘aiming to bring’ him to the Premier League next season.
The centre-back has a deal lasting until 2025 and the newspaper warns the Turin club that they must move ‘quickly’ to avoid losing ‘one of their best talents’. They have even urged Torino to start talks over extending the player’s contract.
Even though Buongiorno has over two years left on his contract, the report suggests the duration isn’t a lot in modern football.
Therefore, it’s ‘necessary’ for the Serie A side to tie him down to a new deal in order to not lose him to the likes of Brentford, Bournemouth or Nottingham Forest.
