Having narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League by losing to Fulham in the playoff final, Brentford will be intent on returning next season with a bang.
They might have to do so without the help of Saïd Benrahma, as there appears to be a general consensus the Algeria international will end up in the Premier League at some point this summer.
To compensate both the creativity and efficiency the winger gave Thomas Frank’s team, it appears they’ve turned their attention to France once more.
The man in question, according to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, is Saman Ghoddos, currently contracted to Amiens SC.

The French club, who suffered relegation down to Ligue 2, will be looking to make some sales this summer, and the Iran international appears to be one of them.
Tanzi took to Twitter on Monday to explain the striker, who can also occasionally play on the wings, is in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Brentford about a move to Griffin Park.
That’s all the information we’re given for now, but it seems to be Ghoddos who has been pushing for an exit, after the player stated he ‘wasn’t happy to be in Ligue 2’.
