Shakhtar Donetsk are demanding at least €20m for full-back Dodô if they are to sell him to Arsenal this summer.

That’s according to UOL in Brazil, who say the 23-year-old is ‘constantly sought after’ by the Gunners.

They explain that the full-back has been the target of several consultations and approaches in recent days, from Europe and Brazil, but is yet to decide on the next step in his career.

One issue is that Shakhtar are demanding at least €20m to ‘open any negotiation’, a figure nobody has seemingly been willing to pay so far.

While they’ve been open to letting some of their Brazilian players leave as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war, with Maycon and Tete joining Corinthians and Lyon on loan respectively, they have ‘posed more obstacles’ for the right-back.

That’s because they know there are plenty of suitors for him, with Bayern Munich making him an offer last year and him being ‘constantly sought after’ by Arsenal and Bournemouth in England.

The 23-year-old would prefer to wait until June to decide his future, so Shakhtar see no need to rush into things at present.

There is a growing rush of players out of Ukraine, though, particularly after FIFA opened the window for players to leave there and Russia should they wish.

That gives Arsenal the chance to get their man, although he’s not pushing for it, and Shakhtar are demanding €20m at least to open negotiations, both of which are seemingly putting the stoppers on things for the time being.
