On Monday, Brazil won the U16 Montaigu Tournament by beating Argentina 2-1 in the final, and some players obviously drew the attention from European sides.

One of them was Luis Guilherme, who according to journalist Jorge Nicola, is now followed by several clubs, including Arsenal.

The midfielder, who’d already won Brazil’s most important U-20 title with Palmeiras back in January, now had great performances in the international competition and scored one goal in the final.

Nicola points out that Arsenal and the other interested clubs have not made any bids for the player yet because he’s about to sign his first professional deal with Palmeiras.

The interested sides just got in touch with the agency who represents the player to say they’ll be following his progression from now on, as he now fights to start having a spot at his club’s first team.

With Edu Gaspar in charge of Arsenal’s signings, there’s no doubt he keeps an eye on his talents from his home land.

Palmeiras’ new generation is full of talents who have been drawing the attention from Europe, and it seems Luis Guilherme is one of those who’ll be disputed soon.
