Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an offer for the Real Sociedad striker Willian José, according to claims from Brazil today.

Website UOL reports that the Championship winners contacted the 26-year-old last week, and presented him their project for the future.

Willian José is said to be still thinking about it, and will wait for the transfer window to be opened before taking any decisions.

UOL doesn’t mention Wolves’ talks with Real Sociedad for the player, as all they write is about the personal talks to take him to England. So no transfer fees are mentioned.

Willian José used to be an average player in his early days in Brazil, but has really impressed since moving to Spain, where he’s played for Real Madrid, Real Zaragoza, UD Las Palmas and Real Sociedad.

The centre-forward has scored 20 goals and made four assists in 40 matches for Sociedad this season. He’s found the net in very important matches, including in La Liga fixtures against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
