For the past couple of months, we’ve been covering several reports from Italy about interest from Premier League clubs on the Juventus loanee Rogério, who’s having a spell on loan at Sassuolo.

The latest claims from the local press have said that Wolverhampton Wanderers are attentive to the player’s situation, and he would cost over €15m.

Now there’s finally word coming from Brazil, as UOL brings an interesting story on the player’s future this Monday, claiming that Wolves should have some heavy competition to land him.

The website highlights the interest from Chelsea, as manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly suggested the player’s signing.

It’s claimed that Rogério is seen as a player ‘to progress, join the rotation and fight with Marcos Alonso for a place in the first team’. UOL also writes that Rogério’s arrival would result in the departure of Emerson Palmieri.

The other clubs claimed to be in the race are Wolves, Sporting and Bayer Leverkusen.

UOL claims that Rogério’s return to Juventus at the end of the season isn’t ruled out, although he would have a hard time fighting with Alex Sandro for a place in the team.

And despite all the updates on Chelsea’s chase, the report doesn’t make it clear if the Blues, or even Wolves, would try a January transfer.
