Manchester United fans can stop worrying about Fred now. Partially recovered from his ankle injury, the midfielder has finally trained with the Brazilian national team squad on Friday.

As reported by Lance, the player has took part in the workout in Sochi today, the first time he’s trained with his teammates since June 7th, when the squad was still in London.

It’s now confirmed that Fred will travel with the team to Rostov, where Brazil are facing Switzerland for Group E’s first fixture on Sunday.

But it’s still not confirmed if the player will be available from the bench or not, as his fitness situation will be evaluated in Saturday’s training session.

Globo Esporte claims that Brazil are doing all they can not to cut players from the squad, unless they have long term injuries which would stop them from playing the whole tournament. And this is not Fred’s case, which is bright news for Manchester United.
