Lucas Moura is finally a Tottenham player. Hurrah.
Goal Brasil came with details of the transfer this afternoon, saying Spurs will pay €28m for the player.
The talks took longer than expected because the clubs were still discussing the performance bonuses. According to the report, the amount could reach up to €4m.
Lucas’ new contract will be of five and a half years, not four, like previously reported by the Brazilian press.
Nilo Effori, the lawyer who handled the transfer, spoke to Goal: “Now, at Tottenham, Lucas will have the best opportunity to resume his winning career. The manager was looking forward to signing him. He’s arriving to play the Premier League, which is the most competitive league in the world, and will also be available to be registered in the Champions League.”
Another interesting information is that the website claims that the Spurs should go for another Brazilian in the summer window. That’s David Neres, from Ajax, who’s been having some good impact at the Dutch side and has already been linked to a few Premier League clubs. But there are still no details on talks for now.
