After reports from the English media, it’s now time for the Brazilian press to confirm that Fred will be signing for Manchester United very soon.

According to website UOL, the midfielder would travel to Manchester right after Brazil’s friendly match against Croatia, which was played in Liverpool this Sunday afternoon.

The outlet claims that the last details of the agreement were sorted in the past few days by his agents, while the Brazilian national team were already doing their preparation in London.

Manchester United will be paying around €55m after reaching a verbal agreement. Although UOL says that Fred is travelling to Manchester after the friendly, they don’t make it clear if he’s having medicals and signing the contract still this Sunday.

It’s also claimed that José Mourinho’s side worked on an early deal to avoid competition, as Fred’s performances in the World Cup could end up creating an auction for him.
