Liverpool continue to lead the race for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson, according to reports from Brazil.
On Friday, UOL claims the player currently has the Reds as a first option in case he really leaves the Italian side next summer.
Even though Alisson has received approaches from big clubs such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, Liverpool remain the favourites as they are in more advanced negotiations.
According to UOL, the player’s staff projects that he can become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world in case any of these deals are closed.
Signed from Brazilian side Internacional in a €8m deal in 2016, Alisson has been having fantastic performances for Roma, including the one against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League earlier this week.
The goalkeeper is expected to be in the World Cup squad for Brazil, even though the starting spot is still being disputed with Manchester City star Ederson.
There were claims recently that Liverpool were considering walking away from a possible deal, but that could have more to do with Roma raising there valuation.
