Agent Kia Joorabchian is set to orchastrate a ‘new round of pressure’ to take his client Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, Brazilian website UOL reports.
It’s claimed the representative will meet Barcelona’s board once again tonight, and will return to England to show Liverpool an improved offer over the weekend.
The new offer should get close to the €130m mark, including bonuses. However, the story doesn’t seem to sure that Liverpool will accept it, since the club’s stance is that the player isn’t for sale.
This information is very similar to what Goal Brasil published yesterday, also saying that Barcelona’s new bid would be of €130m, but then that was always likely to be the next figure.
Many Brazilian outlets have been on the money with Coutinho’s saga, but UOL always seems to have the most complete information on the case.
A week ago, they published a story explaining all the background of the player’s transfer request, at least from his perspective, and claimed that the word at Liverpool is they “won’t sell even for €500m”.
Joorabchian will try his very best to squeeze Liverpool into a sale, it’s his job, and it’s going to be an uncomfortable time at Anfield.
