When BBC and Sky Sports reported Barcelona’s €100m bid for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho on Wednesday evening, the Brazilian media were quick to cover it.

Globo Esporte, ESPN Brasil, UOL and Estadão are all over the Coutinho story, grasping at any potential update.

On Thursday morning, Brazil time, Globo Esporte published and exclusive claiming Barcelona will not give up after having the €100m offer rejected by Liverpool, and are set to make a new attempt soon.

It’s claimed that Coutinho continues being the Catalan club’s priority in the transfer window, and Barça will now go to €120m. The new bid is should be made soon, they say.

Globo Esporte claims that Coutinho wants to sign for Barcelona, and his biggest problem is Jurgen Klopp, not Liverpool. The club don’t want to sell him, but know they can’t continue turning down ever increasing offers.

Klopp, however, manager doesn’t even want to hear about it. And he’s the one who must be convinced.
