After all the noise Brahim Diaz’s transfer from Manchester City to Real Madrid made at the start of the year, the Spanish press now starts questioning if the player will really have a quick impact at the La Liga side.
Outlet Mundo Deportivo brings a story today calling the player’s case ‘weird’, as he isn’t getting the playing time he expected, and was out of Real Madrid’s squad for the game against Girona on Thursday.
The story says Diaz changed clubs so he would get more prominence, but it isn’t really happening as he’s only played 25 minutes since joining the Galacticos in early January.
The midfielder only featured at the end of two games, and as written by Mundo Deportivo, he now looks ‘invisible’ for manager Santiago Solari.
The main reason pointed out by the story is that Real Madrid aren’t having many injury problems, which decreases Diaz’s chances of getting into the team.
Although Mundo Deportivo are obviously a Catalan outlet which normally doesn’t favour Real Madrid, they’re pretty much working with facts this time.
Maybe the benefit of Diaz’s Manchester City exit will take longer to come then he’d have liked.
