Lys Mousset is on the verge of joining Bournemouth, according to claims coming out of France on Wednesday. L’Equipe, France’s prominent sport newspaper, have a snippet in their Wednesday edition saying Bournemouth could complete a deal before the end of the week.
The Premier League club will be beating other English sides who have shown an interest, including Southampton, Sunderland, Arsenal and Tottenham. FC Copenhagen and AS Monaco, always on the lookout for young talent which they can later sell on, were also in the picture.
Mousset is 20 years of age and currently plays for La Havre in France’s Ligue 2. He plays primarily as a striker, but can also be deployed in a wide role, or as part of a front three.
Increased money in English football means it’s easier for clubs to take a chance on such deals and L’Equipe say there’s only two or three things left to be solved on the transfer, and it could be completed very soon.
