Clearly not falling into Eddie Howe’s plans, Max Gradel has made it clear he would like to leave Bournemouth at the earliest opportunity.

With that exit expected, seeing the Cherries being linked with another left-winger, one more winger than inside forward, isn’t all that surprising.

On Friday, DH in Belgium reveal that Bournemouth are interest in Anderlecht’s Frank Acheampong, who has been given the green light to leave the Belgian champions if the right offers coming along.

However, Howe will face some competition from the Premier League, with Watford also said to be interested, although that could very much depend on who the Hornets’ next manager is.

With Walter Mazzarri now gone, and Marco Silva one of the potential candidates for the job, that Acheampong is a target isn’t surprising.

After all, he was a Hull target over the winter period, one the Portuguese manager would’ve liked to see at the KCOM stadium in January.

That didn’t happen, but if he takes over at Watford, he might have a better chance of getting his man.

We expect a bit of a tussle for this one, so there’s bound to be more about it in the coming week or so.
