On Friday, Corriere della Sera reported Weston McKennie is being courted by AFC Bournemouth, and Juventus want at least €40m to sanction his sale in the winter market.
Calciomercato now state the Serie A side’s plan for January is to sell the midfielder for €35-40m to improve their finances.
He is liked by Borussia Dortmund and ‘above all, by Bournemouth’. The English club have already started contacts with the Old Lady for a potential deal in January.
Apart from the former Schalke man, Adrien Rabiot’s future at the Turin club is uncertain. Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri prefers to retain the Frenchman at least until the end of this season and sacrifice McKennie.
The Cherries have taken the ‘most concrete steps’, so much so that they will make the ‘first official offer’ for the midfielder in the ‘next few days’.
Gary O’Neil’s side are currently 15th in the table and are two points ahead of 18th placed Nottingham Forest.
Should Bournemouth make a bid and Juve accept it, it then remains to be seen whether McKennie is open to joining the Premier League side in January.
