A section of Manchester United fans were worried when Manchester United decided to allow Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez to join Inter Milan and decided against replacing them.

After eight league games, it now looks like a bad decision as the Red Devils have managed only two wins and have failed to register a win away from home in all competitions.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have collected nine points and are 12th in the table, two points behind 10th placed Bournemouth.

Norway’s TV2 asked Joshua King if the Cherries can finish above United this season.

He said: “I don’t know. We focus on ourselves and we try to have good matches. We have had some matches where we have been fine and won, and we have had some matches where we have been not so good and not won.”

“And then we have matches like the one against Arsenal, where we were absolutely miserable in the first half and played well in the second half.

“I think we’ll finish in the top ten this season, at least. Where we’ll end up, I don’t know, but where Manchester United ends up, I have no idea. I’m not in that club and I can’t comment on that because I play for Bournemouth. You can find it out in May when the season is over.”

United have failed to score more than a goal in any competition since they registered a 4-0 victory over Chelsea in August. Injuries to several key players haven’t helped Solskjaer and his side this season.

They host league leaders Liverpool on Sunday and Solskjaer has already confirmed star duo Paul Pogba and David de Gea will miss the clash against the Reds.
