AFC Bournemouth are in the picture to sign AS Roma’s Bryan Cristante in the winter market.
The defensive midfielder has featured in ever league and the Europa League fixture for the Giallorossi this season. He has a contract lasting until 2027, but his future could be away from Roma.
That’s at least what ASRomaLive.it are stating, and name Bournemouth as his only suitor.
The outlet’s director, Daniele Trecca, was the guest on journalist Alessio Manieri’s Twitch channel to talk about the 28-year-old. According to Manieri, the Italy international could ‘really leave’ the Serie A side in January.
Trecca then joins him to report about the Cherries making contact for the midfielder, who can also operate as a centre-back. Bournemouth managing director of football Tiago Pinto took charge at the Vitality Stadium in May.
He arrived at the Premier League side, after spending over three years between January 2021 and February 2024 at Roma. Pinto knows Cristante from his time at the Italian club and could leading his side’s transfer pursuit.
The report states the Bournemouth official has an ‘excellent relationship’ with Cristante’s agent. This could be ley for Andoni Iraola’s side, considering the player could leave Roma in the next window.
