Atalanta are eagerly searching around the market to get themselves a new senior striker, needing to do so after Gianluca Scamacca picked up a serious injury.
Earlier this week it was reported they wanted to get Beto from Everton, and were prepared to send El Bilal-Toure to Goodison Park as part of the deal. However, it was quickly reported in Italy that Everton had no intention of going forward with that deal and would be keeping Beto.
L’Equipe now report Bournemouth have moved into the picture for the Atalanta player.
It’s stated that the 22-year-old had been expecting to move to VfB Stuttgart and try his luck in the Bundesliga. That possibility is still there but the situation is dragging on and Bournemouth are said to want to take advantage.
The Cherries have ‘returned in recent hours’ to the El Bilal Toure track and will provide competition to Stuttgart for the forward.
There’s no indication of the level of transfer fee required, or what the hold up has been for Stuttgart.
