Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is a target for the Mexican side Tigres, according to reports from Mexico today.

The information is brought by outlet Record, who claims that Tigres’ current goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman is very close to leaving the club for Boca Juniors.

That puts the Mexican side in search for a replacement, and the club would already have David Ospina as a target for the position, who they will ‘try to sign’. The Arsenal player is considered an impressive target by Record, who say it would be a ‘bomb’ signing.

The outlet doesn’t really mention how Ospina would react to the offer, or even if Arsenal are making him available to go this summer, but Bernd Leno’s impending arrival would surely suggest an Opsina exit.

The 29-year-old made 21 appearances for the Gunners last season, with nearly half of them in the Europa League campaign, where he had the chance to take Petr Cech’s place.

Ospina made his first appearance in the 2018 World Cup today, as Colombia faced Japan for Group H. The Arsenal goalkeeper ended up with an unlucky result as the South American side lost the match 2-1.
