Calciomercato have an article on Friday afternoon covering the great efforts AC Milan are making to sign Gerard Deulofeu. It’s pointed out the club have financial difficulties at the moment, going through a prolonged takeover which is aimed at getting Milan back to their mighty best.
Therefore the club are having to be careful what kind of financial commitments they make, which is one of the reasons, but not the only reason, they want a redemption right rather than an obligation to buy Deulofeu in the summer from Everton.
None of this is Everton’s direct problem, and if they can get another club to bid then that would be beneficial. Calciomercato reckon Wolfsburg can be this club, calling them the ‘bogeyman’.
It’s stated that Wolfsburg’s offer is higher, but we’ve checked the German media and there’s nothing from the past few days on any approach being made by the club.
Deulofeu wants to join Milan, and only Milan, say Calciomercato, but it’s still all down to Everton.
Breaking: There was no need to worry about the bogeyman… it’s done:
