Three days later, Firenze Viola reported Fiorentina will have compete with the Eagles for the 21-year-old determined to leave Wolfsburg. It was also said Crystal Palace could make a rich offer to sign him.
Fast forward to the end of August and journalist Sacha Tavolieri took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest. He backs up Crystal Palace’s desire to secure the midfielder’s services.

Tavolieri says Vranckx ‘will stay’ at the Bundesliga side, after manager Ralph Hasenhüttl convinced him that he’ll enjoy more playing time this season.
Therefore, the Belgium international has decided to continue at Wolfsburg, amid interest from Crystal Palace. Tavolieri adds the player is ready for the ‘ultimate year’ at the club.
Oliver Glasner’s side are also keen on signing Vranckx’s teammate, Maxence Lacroix. The German club want to retain him and offer [deal expires in 2025] an extension.
