Blackburn Rovers are working on a move for Ajax’s Sivert Mannsverk this summer.
The midfielder joined Ajax in September 2023 and was limited to 18 appearances of which two were from last season. The Dutch club sent him on loan to Cardiff City in January and this move helped him feature regularly.
His performances for the Welsh club could have seen Blackburn Rovers take notice. HE has returned to Ajax, but the 23-year-old has no future with them.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who state the Norwegian could be the next to leave as part of Ajax’s exodus.
Valérien Ismaël’s side want to offer Mannsverk an escape route and have contacted him.
The report adds the Championship club want to sign the player on a permanent transfer, but there’s no mention of the fee they are willing to offer or the Eredivisie side’s request.
Ajax have so far sold Jakov Medić and Kristian Hlynsson to Norwich City and FC Twenete respectively and VI says Mannsverk could ‘easily be the next to leave’ them. This should come as an encouragement for Balckburn Rovers.
