Remember all the annoyance the press close to Real Madrid had with Gareth Bale over his dedication to Wales? Well, similar is now happening in Italy with Aaron Ramsey.

La Repubblica have an article which clearly shows there’s a growing bitterness towards the midfielder, with it thought that he’s available more for his country than he is for Juventus.

On top of that, there’s still annoyance that Ramsey turned down a summer move to Wolves, at a time when the Turin side could have received a fee for the player’s service. Added to that, he recently suggested the Wales medical team have dealt better with him than their counterparts at Juve.

The newspaper explains Jorge Mendes had planned for Ramsey to move to Wolves, and for Ruben Neves to go the other way, they state: ‘This summer the Welshman was one step away from leaving Juventus, inserted in the tortuous mechanism hatched by Mendes to “free” Ronaldo: Ramsey at Wolverhampton, Neves in Turin, Ronaldo in the Premier. The refusal of the midfielder, intending to play his cards with Allegri, has cracked the relationship with the club.’

On top of that, it’s thought he’s not keen on leaving the Serie A side in the winter market, despite multiple Premier League clubs holding an interest in him. Instead, Ramsey would prefer to wait until next summer before moving.

At that point he’ll only have a year of contract left at Juventus, and with their desire to get his wages off their accounts, any transfer fee would surely be minimal, and that’s if they weren’t forced to let him go for nothing.

Whether Wolves would return is unknown, a lot could depend on what Mendes plans for Ruben Neves’ future.
