After losing Cengiz Under to AS Roma, Basaksehir are looking for a winger to replace the 20 year old Turkish international.

GamaSpor have revealed Basaksehir have made an offer for Birmingham City’s Frei, as the player is seen as an ideal like for like replacement for Under. It’s been claimed Birmingham City and Basaksehir are currently working on a deal, and the Turkish website says a final agreement could be reached soon.

The Turkey international joined Birmingham City in the last transfer window, but he’s failed to make an impact since his arrival at the club. After the permanent appointment of Harry Redknapp it seems the 23 year old has no future with the Championship side, and Basaksehir are looking to take advantage of his situation.

Frei cost Birmingham City €2.5m when he signed from Besiktas and it’s currently unknown how much Basaksehir have offered for the attacker. The Championship club will likely be happy with making their money back.
