Ivan Sunjic is on the verge of completing a move away from Birmingham City, report Bild.
According to the German newspaper, the 25-year-old is set to sign for Hertha Berlin, as long as there’s no last minute issue or problem with his medical. Bild state Sunjic has arrived arrived in Berlin and is on his way for the medical tests, so it’s expected things can move quickly.
The Croatian has a contract with Birmingham City which lasts until June 2024. There’s no indication on whether he’ll be moving on a permanent transfer or a loan deal, although it’s stated his market value is around €4m.
Hertha Berlin’s Fredi Bobic, who manages transfers for the German club, travelled to England in April to scout several options for the summer transfer window, with the insinuation Sunjic must have caught his eye.
The midfielder played 43 matches for Birmingham City last season, and appeared in 45 games during the previous campaign. Should all go well, he’s now set for a new adventure in German football.
